Berlin music school prize: a day full of opera and music variety
The music school day in Berlin promises a diverse program that will inspire music and theater lovers alike. Under the motto "12 music schools - a day in the opera", a trip through the opera history is undertaken, starting with Orpheus to the modern age. The event, moderated by director Nils Niemann, includes contributions from various genres such as opera, dance, ballet, musical and pop music. This is intended to offer an insight into the quality and diversity of the music education offer of the public music schools in Berlin and arouse interest in making music.
A highlight of the stage program is the awarding of the "Berlin Music School Prize", which is awarded annually to outstanding music school teachers. In addition to the stage program, the twelve Berlin music schools also present themselves with a joint information stand in the Apollosaal of the State Opera, where teachers answer questions about the offers of the music schools.
As a special highlight, there are hands-on offers around the tuba, the instrument of 2024. Interested parties can continue to find out more about the music school day and on the website of the State Opera.
