improved mobile phone supply - a new star in the sky of the Altenburger Land!

Telekom has started a comprehensive project in the past two months to raise mobile phone coverage in Altenburger Land to the next level. Finally ends with radio clads - the new facilities bring a breath of fresh air to the communication landscape!

Around the city of Göhren is now a comprehensive fiber optic network that not only increases mobile phone use in the region, but also ensures that people can enjoy better reception in their own four walls. This is the answer to the constantly growing demand for data - every year the bandwidth requirement breaks up by a whopping 30 percent! "That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," explains Georg von Wagner, the company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom.

The status quo - over 37 locations and a radiant future

The numbers speak a clear language: With now 37 mobile radio locations in the district, Telekom supplies an incredible 99 percent of households. But it won't stay! Nine other locations are planned by 2026 and 14 radio masts are upgraded to offer LTE or even 5G. Telekom is ready to continue the digital revolution!

In order to implement this growth plan, Telekom needs the support of the municipalities and property owners. If you want to provide a roof or a suitable location, you are welcome to report to the German radio tower. So maybe you can become part of this gigantic mobile phone project yourself!
