Telekom invests in the expansion of the mobile phone network in Blankenhain

Deutsche Telekom is driving mobile phone expansion in the city of Blankenhain to improve the supply and range. A new location with 5G was built and significantly expanded the mobile phone coverage in Blankenhain. The reception in buildings also becomes noticeably better.

The constantly increasing need for bandwidth of around 30 percent per year requires a quick pace in mobile phone expansion, as Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom, emphasizes.

status and future plans

Deutsche Telekom currently operates 55 mobile phone locations in the Weimarer Land district and thus reaches almost 100 percent budget cover. A further 15 locations are planned by 2026 to further improve care. In addition, extensions with LTE or 5G are intended at 17 radio masts.

In order to realize the new locations, Telekom depends on cooperation with the municipalities and owners, the suitable areas are available. Interested parties can contact the German radio tower, which is responsible for the construction of the mobile phone locations.
