Telekom expands mobile phone supply in the district of Görlitz

Telekom has improved mobile phone supply in the Görlitz district in the past two months. By expanding a location with LTE, better coverage is now available in the area. The reception in buildings has also been significantly improved. The extended location is located in the municipality of Herrnhut and also supplies along the A72 motorway and the Saxony-Ost railway line.

This measure is part of the Telekom's efforts to meet the increasing demand for bandwidth. According to Georg von Wagner, the company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom, the demand grows annually by around 30 percent.

future plans

Telekom currently operates 135 locations in the Görlitz district and offers almost 100 percent budget cover. Another 59 locations are to be added by 2026. In addition, the company is planning extensions with LTE or 5G on 52 existing mobile phone masts.
