On October 10, 2024 it will be exciting in Saarbrücken! Six outstanding sports clubs from Saarland stand in the starting blocks for the prestigious awarding of the "Stars of Sports in Silver". This event is not only a highlight in the sports calendar, but also a passion for volunteer work, which is often in the shadow of the big sporting events.

The nominated, including the fascinating sports club Special Olympics Saarland and the dynamic SV Saar 05 dance sport , show how diverse the club landscape in Saarland is. Also the ltf Theeltal , the passionate LAZ Saarbrücken , the traditional football club 08 Püttlingen and the FC 1910 Niederlinxweiler are among the contenders. These clubs are the backbone of local sport and stand for community sense and commitment.

The grand finale will take place on Thursday, October 10, from 5:00 p.m. in the State Chancellery of the Saarland . The Minister of the Interior, Building and Sport, Reinhold Jost , will officially honor the award winners. It will be an unforgettable evening for these clubs, because only on stage do you find out what placement you have achieved! The thrill is increasing: Who gets the star in silver in first place or the small star in silver in the two other categories?

And that's not all. The club winner has the chance to win the great star in Gold in January in Berlin, à la federal winner ! The dazzling honor is personally carried out by the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier . A true highlight that will definitely go into the history books!
