Together with the non -profit environmental institute UFU e.V., the pupils learn something about energy consumption and climate protection through concrete energy -saving projects. Age -adapted knowledge is conveyed and a high practical proportion is integrated in order to playfully learn environmentally friendly behavior. The children should also carry what they have learned home. As part of the projects, experiments such as fogging the classrooms with fog machines are carried out in order to understand energy -saving and pandemic ventilation behavior. In addition, thermal imaging cameras are used to identify weaknesses of the building envelopes and show saving options. These should be documented and implemented.
