Heinrich-Laehr-Park: 350,000 euros for new ways and more quality of life!
Heinrich-Laehr-Park, 14165 Berlin, Deutschland - nag/nag editors -
The Heinrich Laehr-Park, a green jewel in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, has experienced a comprehensive transformation! With its almost 27 hectares, this park is not only one of the largest, but also a protected garden monument. The paths that were originally designed by the famous neurologist Heinrich Laehr are now in top shape again after they had suffered greatly through years of wear. Especially in the eastern area, the damage was so serious that many visitors had difficulty entering the park when wet.
Thanks to a renovation that concentrated on around 6000 square meters of the most affected paths, the park is now shining in new splendor! With an impressive investment volume of around 350,000 euros, the work was largely financed from the district investment planning. The new paths are not only weather -resistant, but also environmentally friendly because they consist of water -bound materials and natural stones. In addition, two new parking benches were installed and wooden railings along the path boundaries were attached to lead the visitors and prevent damage to the vegetation.
positive response from residents
The residents are enthusiastic about the renewals! Despite the challenges during the construction work, the green spaces department plans to continue renovation measures in a further construction phase. A new sidewalk on Leo-Baeck-Straße has been set up to facilitate future maintenance work. Citizens can be excited about the next steps in the Heinrich Laehr Park, because the department will inform about the progress in due course!
