At the invitation of the aid organization Islamic Relief Germany, a joint discussion took place, in which committed personalities came together. The guests discussed important questions of interreligious dialogue and emphasized the importance of intercultural encounters and exchange in times of anti -Semitism and Muslim hostility.The event took place in a Berlin restaurant and was organized as host by Tarek Abdelalem, Managing Director of Islamic Relief Germany, and Sevgi Kulanoglu, Head of Community Fundraising. Among the participants were personalities like Prof. Em. Dr. Werner Schiffauer, former chairman of the Migration Council, the theologian Friederike von Kirchbach, Mohammad Imran Sagir from the Muslim pastoral phone as well as Matthias O. Schneider and Uwe Müller from church telephone pastoral care.
Uwe Müller emphasized that living together in our society was only possible together and should take place without exclusion and internal demarcation. He explained: "Design only goes together and in the feeling of belonging, and by that I mean not only to my own ethnic or religious group, but to society in which I live. When we learn to listen to each other, to be interested in the life of our counterpart and to get involved with the emotional experience, we get a more stable relationship with each other and for each other."
Tarek Abdelalem, Managing Director of Islamic Relief Germany, emphasized the importance of interreligious dialogue, especially in tense times. He emphasized that millions of children are suffering from wars and conflicts and that it is important to work for orphans in war and crisis regions.
The revenues of this year's “Food for Orphan” campaign to do orphans who urgently need help. Millions of children in countries such as Syria, Yemen, Gaza and Sudan suffer from hunger and are faced with death every day.
