Spandau elementary school students transform parks into flowering elven crocus oases
In Spandau, not only life will bloom, but also school childhood! From October 14 to 18, 2024, the district becomes the colorful flower field when elementary school students in collaboration with Ms. Jacobsen from the school environment center (SUZ) and Ms. Paul from the green area office use thousands of elves crocuses in the public parks. A happy spectacle that promotes nature and sustainable education!
Under the motto "The Berlin garden working schools make public green areas", schools all over Berlin take part in this exciting initiative. The aim of this campaign is to enliven the city with colors and life and at the same time to strengthen the awareness of the children for the beauty of our city nature. An outstanding opportunity to sensitize the young generation to the environment!
a sign of nature
Who would have thought that every school in Berlin must have a garden work school or a school environment center? This is exactly what is in the school law! This regulation is intended to ensure that children and adolescents learn how important the active protection and preservation of our environment is. With this action, the students not only plant flowers, they also sow the seeds for sustainable awareness in the hearts of their generation!
