Spandau starts migractive: networking for migrant organizations!
Carl-Schurz-Straße 2/6, 13597 Berlin, Deutschland - On June 2, 2025, the project "Migractive Spandau!" Locked to strengthening and networking migrant organizations in Spandau. The project has been running since April 2024 and has a period of three years. A central element of the project is a networking meeting that deals with the topic of recognition as a freelance carrier of child and youth welfare. This is particularly important because migrant organizations in youth welfare are often underrepresented and their perspectives and experiences can contribute decisively to the diversity orientation.
The youth welfare aims to create diversity -oriented structures to make children from migrant communities who often experience exclusion and make trusting offers. The project will be supported by the management of the youth welfare planning of the Spandau district, under the direction of Ms. Ridderbusch. This project will take place on June 19, 2025 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the town hall Spandau, Carl-Schurz-Straße 2/6, 13597 Berlin. The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees supports such organizations to promote their professionalization and consolidate their role as a permanent contact. Nevertheless, there are challenges that need to be mastered. For example, 41% of the migrant organizations surveyed have no paid employees, which limits their ability to act. The Bamf states that a stronger network between migrant organizations and local support offers is urgently needed in order to use the full potential of these organizations to exploit.
