On September 14, 2023, a remarkable day took place on the market square of the old town of Spandau, which celebrated the community and the many opportunities for social engagement. The event, which was organized by the Spandau volunteer agency, focused on volunteering and united various organizations under the motto "The Social, Healthy and International Spandau".

This annual celebration not only offers a place to inform, but attach great importance to bringing people together. At around 60 stands and action areas, visitors were able to learn which social, health -related and integrative offers in the Spandau district exist. The commitment ranges from large institutions such as Amnesty International to local initiatives such as the future workshop of GFBM gGmbH.

The city of Spandau has a lively club and carrier scene that promotes the integration of citizens into social processes. District Mayor Frank Werwigt was pleased with the diversity that this event depicts. "It is an opportunity for the Spandauers to find out about the large number of offers and to get into conversation with the actors," said his words.

A special focus this year was on volunteering.
