An impending long -term full blocking of the Niederneuendorfer Allee in Hakenfelde could be averted thanks to the timely renewal of the road surface. Work on two sections of the street began on April 18, 2024 and were already completed on April 20, 2024. The decision to renovate was made at short notice because the road was so badly damaged after the frost period that traffic safety was endangered.

The lane ceiling of the a total of approx. 335 meters long sections was milled off by a specialist company, adapted in height and newly made in asphalt construction. As a result, the danger spots were eliminated and the security for road users could be restored. The originally inevitable full closure could be lifted again after only three working days on Saturday afternoon.

This measure shows the quick action and efficiency of the district office in relation to the maintenance of the street infrastructure in Hakenfelde. In terms of timely renovation, impairments for residents and road users were minimized.
