Today, on June 4, 2025, the completion of the modular supplementary construction will be announced after around one year of construction in spring. This represents the second module building of this kind in Spandau, which is specially designed for pupils with a special center of funding "intellectual development". The school community has used the renovated premises at Seecktstraße 2 since the beginning of the school year, where a comprehensive renovation has been carried out for around seven years. Originally, only a strand renovation of the sanitary areas was planned, but serious fire protection and static deficiencies were discovered during the work, which made a complete renovation necessary. These conversions not only included an energetic renovation, but also the cultivation of a music room and the integration of a new distribution kitchen. As a result of these measures, 66 pupils will be able to learn there, while around 50 children are already using the new rooms.

The total costs of the renovation work amount to around 10 million euros. The process was made difficult by construction defects, legal disputes with construction companies and delays in the technical equipment. These challenges underline the need for a state -owned construction company like the Howoge, which is active as part of the Berlin school building offensive. This society has its economic strength and long -term expertise as the client who enables delays and cost increases. The Howoge controls the entire implementation process of the construction projects and takes over the project and construction management, whereby it also integrates external planning offices into the architecture.

The renovation of the school on the garden field was part of a comprehensive program to improve the school infrastructure in Berlin.
