A star among guitarists: Dale Kavanagh opens the festival

The kick -off of the festival will take place on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. The celebrated Canadian guitarist and composer Dale Kavanagh will delight the audience with a fantastic concert! It is one of the most creative minds of the international guitar scene and its performance promises musical fireworks. Enjoy breathtaking works by greats like Carlo Domeniconi and Niccolo Paganini. This will be a concert that should not be missed!

sounds from classical to rock: a special evening on Saturday

Saturday brings a completely different sound on November 16 at 7:30 p.m. "Classic guitar meets Dire Straits" - that is the motto of the second concert. The talented Berlin guitarist Katrin Endrikat and the Etna Guitar Duo open this special evening with rousing classical music. In the second part, Arne Jansen and Stephan Braun will let the immortal hits of the Dire Straits shine in a completely new light with their “Going Home” project. With guitar and cello, they present the songs in an intimate framework that offers plenty of space for improvisations. Jansen, a multi-award-winning echo jazz artist, brings a breath of fresh air to the rock classics!

The festival begins as exciting, it ends on Sunday, November 17th at 7:00 p.m. in a festive atmosphere! The students of the master course under the direction of Dale Kavanagh show what they have learned in the past few days. There is no admission at this concert - this is only about the joy of music and the results of hard work!
