Qi Gong, a term that was shaped in the 1950s, consists of the words "Qi" (life energy) and "Gong" (method or exercise). This practice pursues the goal of regulating the Qi, which penetrates all living things. The river of the Qi plays a central role in meridians, which is an important basis for the TCM. Qi Gong helps to eliminate blockages and increase general well -being.

scientific foundations and effects

Traditional Chinese medicine relies on various methods to influence the Qi, such as the supply of substances (nutritional teaching, herbal medicine) or the stimulation of switching points through acupuncture. Qi Gong works through movement, breathing and imagination and is a self -exercise method that embodies the self -active part of the TCM. The positive effects of this practice are diverse, it ranges from disease prevention to the promotion of self -healing powers to improving the ability to concentrate and self -awareness.

Regular practice - even only for a few minutes a day - has proven to be effective to promote health and well -being. In addition, specific Qi Gong forms can serve to treat various symptoms, be it with allergies, back and joint complaints or other health problems. The training of teachers for medical Qi Gong takes place at renowned institutes, where practice is also taught on their own responsibility.

In this sense, the Spandau city library invites everyone interested to discover the advantages of the Qi Gong and actively take care of their health.
