Das Bezirksamt Spandau hat trotz allgemeiner Sparvorgaben für das Jahr 2024 erneut Mittel in Höhe von € 140.000 für die Förderung dezentraler Kulturprojekte im Bezirk bereitgestellt. Diese Gelder sollen dazu dienen, die verschiedenen Kulturakteure und Projekte im Bezirk zu unterstützen, bestehende Strukturen zu festigen und neue Initiativen zu fördern. Förderfähig sind Projekte aus allen künstlerischen Sparten, wie bildende Kunst, darstellende Kunst, Film, Musik, Performance, Literatur und interdisziplinäre Formate. Besonders wichtig ist dabei die Teilhabe vieler Menschen, einschließlich generationenübergreifender Projekte, kultureller Angebote für Geflüchtete sowie transkulturelle und inklusive Formate mit innovativem künstlerischem Ansatz. The district office Spandau has again provided funds of € 140,000 for the promotion of decentralized cultural projects in the district despite general savings for 2024. These funds are intended to support the various cultural actors and projects in the district, to consolidate existing structures and promote new initiatives.

Projects from all artistic divisions such as visual art, performing art, film, music, performance, literature and interdisciplinary formats are eligible. The participation of many people, including cross -generational projects, cultural offers for refugees as well as transcultural and inclusive formats with innovative artistic approach, is particularly important. The goal is to enrich and develop the cultural dialogue in the district.

For the year 2024, a total of 19 applications from Spandau projects and actors with a total application amount of around € 223,500 were received. The jury had the difficult task of selecting the most interesting and meaningful projects to promote them. Ultimately, 14 cultural projects were supported with a total of € 140,000.

Cultural City Councilor Dr. Carola Brückner was pleased that a variety of projects in the areas of theater, music, visual art, literature and neighborhood history could be encouraged in various parts of Spandaus. This helps not only to strengthen the culture in the district, but also to make it more visible in everyday life, so that many residents can enjoy the cultural offers.

The actors funded in 2024 include the Spandauer Working Group, the House for Poetry, the Community Association Heerstraße Nord, the Al-Farabi Music Academy, the Ev. Christmas church community, the International ISang Yun Society e.V. as well as various other cultural institutions and artists in the Spandau district.
