Serious traffic accidents in Marzahn-Hellersdorf and Neukölln: a woman and a young person seriously injured in the intensive care unit.

according to a report by www.berliner-zeitung.de , two serious traffic accidents occurred in the Berlin districts of Marzahn-Hellersdorf and Neukölln, in which a woman and a young person were seriously injured. In Marzahn, a 27-year-old wheelchair user was hit by a car while crossing the road, whereby she was seriously injured and had to be brought to the intensive care unit. In Neukölln a 17-year-old young person was hit by a car when she crossed the street near Red, and also brought to the intensive care unit with serious injuries.

Such traffic accidents are unfortunately not uncommon in Berlin. Marzahn-Hellersdorf and Neukölln are among the most populous districts in the city, which generally leads to a high traffic volume and accordingly to a higher risk of accidents. The city of Berlin is trying to increase traffic safety, including the expansion of cycle paths, promoting local public transport and the introduction of speed limits in heavily used areas. Nevertheless, caution in road traffic remains the key to avoiding such tragic accidents.
