Rhine apartment building starts large renovation in Urdenbach: a new feeling of living

The big renovation project in Düsseldorf-urdenbach has started! Under the motto "Modernize for the future", Rheinwohnungsbau GmbH (RWB) set the first brush strokes on Corellistraße in June 2023 - and it looks promising! Gigantic 16 buildings with 140 rental apartments are to be modernized here by 2026.

The starting signal for the first construction phase has been given and the first results are already impressive. Rhine apartment construction shows how serial building really works: at lightning speed, sustainable and above all efficient! A milestone in the living space design that nobody should miss.

But why is this project so important? In total, the RWB invests over 4 million euros in the first construction phase alone! 60 percent of these costs do not apply to the comprehensive modernization of the houses, all of which date from 1974, while 15 percent flow into maintenance measures. The result? Brighter, more energy -efficient apartments that bring new life into the old walls!

The apartments vary in size and offer space for two, three and four-person households. The annual energy consumption is around 90 kWh/m² before the renovation, which corresponds to energy efficiency class C. The highlight: After the renovation, this value should drop drastically! With the new concept, the energy efficiency house standard 55 is sought.

A highlight is the insulation through prefabricated facade elements in wooden frame construction. Awesome! These components are pre -produced in record time and mounted directly on site. A fascinating example of how construction speed and modern methods go hand in hand - in just six weeks, the facade is rejuvenated by over 2,000 square meters!

In addition, the loggias are converted into winter gardens and the roof insulation also flatters the energy saving. The new inputs are designed barrier-free so that every resident comes in and out easily. Particularly important: building technology is brought up to date, including the latest exhaust air and elevator systems.

Another plus: The planned photovoltaic system on the roofs will supply the tenants with CO2-neutral electricity. A step into the green future, which not only benefits the residents, but also the environment!
