Summer holiday projects 2024: Art, culture and fun for students in Reinickendorf
talent campus-funded summer holiday projects in Reinickendorf
In August 2024, exciting summer vacation projects for students are on the program in Reinickendorf. The Volkshochschule Reinickendorf (VHS) works with various local actors to offer children and young people a creative and inspiring leisure activity. It is tinkered, drawn, tinkered and music - all in the sign of art and culture.
The projects address a variety of interests, from technology-savvy topics such as 3D printing, cartoon design and robotics to creative activities such as the construction of water features, jewelry and graffiti. The students have the opportunity to register for the project that best suits their interests. Further information on the dates and content of the various offers is available online at: vhs.link/talentcampus2024
Harald Muschner, CDU educational city council, emphasizes that all events are made of low -barrier and low -threshold. Participation is free and even includes lunch for children and young people. Previous knowledge is not required. The projects all take place directly in Reinickendorf, in institutions such as the Pankower Allee children's center, the Meredo Media Competence Center, the Haus am See district center, the Haus der Jugend - Fuchsbau or the Auguste Girlsreff.
The implementation of the summer holiday projects is supported not only by the VHS, but also by other important actors in the district. These include the youth welfare office Reinickendorf, the Letteplatz, Albatros gGmbH, Meredo e. V., The Pankower Allee children's center, Trapez e. V. and Lebensworld gGmbH.
The program "Culture makes strong alliances for education" by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research promotes the local project work of extra -curricular cultural education for children and adolescents. Children and adolescents who are affected by risk and are therefore limited in their educational opportunities benefit from this commitment. The projects are funded as part of the “Talentcampus” holiday education program of the German Volkshochschul Association.
