Reinickendorf: Successful double tennis tournament for seniors

The senior citizens from Reinickendorf demonstrated at the district's first table tennis tournament: Age is only a number! The mood was terrific, the players in top form. While the spectators came on droves to cheer on their heroes, the participants fought for the medal with incredible vigor.

In an exciting competition, the participants rose to the semi -finals after the exciting preliminary rounds. Only the best players were allowed to fight and the dramatic final? That was the absolute climax! Detlef Müller and Detlef Jokisch were bravely lost, but lost very narrowly and secured second place. A really gripping duel!

Under the impressive applause of the spectators, the real champions were determined: Peter Jeschon and Dietmar Hemberger! These two achieved victory through cohesion and team spirit and were celebrated by everyone with frenetic applause. What a moment!

District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) aptly expressed it: "Cross-leisure facilities like these strengths the feeling of togetherness of the Reinickendorf seniors and once again demonstrate how well the cooperation of the senior citizens' leisure facilities works with the department."
