Am Sonntag, den 26.05.2024, findet vor dem Familien- und Stadtteilzentrum Haus am See eine Partybus-Aktion zu den U16-Wahlen statt. Anlass ist die anstehende Europawahl, an der Kinder und Jugendliche erstmals ab einem Alter von 16 Jahren teilnehmen dürfen. Für die noch nicht wahlberechtigten jüngeren Kinder und Jugendlichen gibt es seit 1996 die Möglichkeit, eine eigene Abstimmung durchzuführen. The occasion is the upcoming European elections, in which children and adolescents can take part for the first time from the age of 16. This special action that gives young people the opportunity to become involved in the democratic process and to deal with political issues is supported by the youth councilor Alexander Ewers (SPD). It is important that young people also learn early on how elections work and how important it is to represent his opinion.

The participation coordinator Anatolij Krebs from the Reinickendorf district office emphasizes the importance of the party bus, which is intended to offer the kids an entertaining afternoon to inspire them for politics and the European Union. In a relaxed atmosphere, there is the opportunity to discuss political issues and to exchange ideas.

The party bus will be available on May 26, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Haus am See in Stargardtstraße 9, 13407 Berlin. Children and adolescents from ten to 16 years are invited to take part in the campaign free of charge. Registration is not required.
