New boats for the youngsters: WSC Havel receives BVV special funds

A big moment for the water sports club Havel e.V.! On October 17, 2024, the mood in the air was electrifying, as district councilor Kerstin Köppen invited the 1st chairman Torsten Laße to a special ceremony. It was the day of the festive handover of the coveted special remedy badge, a sign of recognition and promotion for the enthusiastic team of the association!

This year was a very special one for the Wassersport-Club Havel e.V.: The association had successfully applied for special funds at the district council (BVV) in order to acquire urgently needed boats for promoting young people in canoe polo. The requested sum of breathtaking 2,200 euros has been granted and the boats are finally in possession of the club - a real triumph!

The handover of the special means badge was not just a formal event, but a symbol of the future of the association and its young talents. The water sports club Havel e.V. is doing everything possible to train and promote the next generation of canoe-polo players. The new boats are the first step on this exciting path!

Torsten Laße was overjoyed and spoke of a truly important day for the club. "We can now offer our young athletes the opportunity to develop further in this exciting sport," said Lies.
