Art workshops in Berlin: Experience and design freedom!

Start of registration for young creative minds: Kunst workshops in the youth art school atrium

The creative expression of young people is an important part of their development and offers both artistic and social advantages. This year, students from the 8th to 12th grades have the opportunity to take part in the free workshops "Kunst-Werkstatt-Experiment" in the youth art school atrium. This event is initiated by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family and gives young talents a platform to discover and develop their artistic skills.

From November 4th to 8th, 2024, the students are invited to deal with the topic of "freedom". In more than 20 creative workshops, participants can discover what freedom looks like in their everyday life and what they personally combine with it. This practical approach not only promotes creative thinking, but also dialogue about important social issues.

The events take place daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offer a variety of opportunities to experiment. Under expert guidance of professional artists, designers and art teachers, the young people are familiarized with new materials and techniques. This not only strengthens your artistic skills, but also your self -confidence and teamwork.

The results of this artistic discussion are then presented in an exhibition in the Atrium Gallery. This exhibition, which will open on November 21, 2024, put the works of the participating young people on display and gives them the opportunity to show their creative expression to a wider audience.

Claudia Güttner, who heads the event, emphasizes the importance of such creative freedom for young people. "We want to create a place where you can discover yourself and find your voice in art," she explains.

This initiative not only supports the artistic development of the young people in the Atrium Youth Art School, but also promotes the sense of community and social interaction among the participants. The support of the Reinickendorf district office shows the commitment of the community to enable creative projects for young people.

Interested students are asked to register for the workshops by September 30, 2024. Claudia Güttner is available for inquiries on the mobile number (0179) 211 98 05 and by email at guettner@atrium-berlin.de.
