Process against Manfred Moslehner: Fight for his home

In the district court of Wedding, almost 50 people intently pursued the trial against Manfred Moslehner, also known as a man, an 84-year-old man who may be driven out of his long-standing home after years of struggle. The investor who acquired the settlement in Berlin-Reinickendorf is planning a modernization and sale of the houses. Manne, a former machine locksmith with a low pension, received the termination and an evacuation action shortly before Christmas.

The judge who negotiates the case shows compassion and arises as to whether a judgment really has to be made. She is familiar with the long struggle of the tenants and admits that this is her first evacuation process. The entire process visibly moves you and asks about a possible agreement between the parties before a final judgment is made.

The settlement on Steinberg, in which Manne has lived since his birth, was sold to a real estate developer in 2010. The tenants opposed the modernization plans due to the feared rent increase and have already suffered many losses. Manne also defended himself against necessary work on the house, for fear of losing it if he had to move out. The electrical system in the house is described as "catastrophic" what Manne presents with great challenges in winter.

The situation of Manfred Moslehner is tragic, as is the representatives of the investor. The judge inquires about Mannes willingness to leave his house, whereupon he hesitates that he does not see any other choice. His future without his home seems bleak and his state of health gives cause for concern. Despite everything, the judge's decision remains uncertain, with a possible judgment in the next week.

There is still a certain hope of a solution, since a member of the Bundestag, Canan Bayram from the Greens, tries to mediate. This last attempt to reach an agreement between the investor and the tenant could offer a way to avert the impending loss of man's long -standing home.
