Protransplant is now calling for a decision: contradiction regulation for organ donation

A call for action! The Protransplant alliance urges the voice and calls on all members of the Bundestag to become aware of the scope of their decisions. Because every voice could mean the difference between life and death for the patients on the waiting list. Recent experiences from abroad show that a well -thought -out law on organ donation can save the lives of many people!

Reality is shocking: an unrolled flu, a congenital heart defect or food poisoning - hardly anyone thinks of being dependent on a donor organ. Even the parents of three children who fight for their survival after mushroom poisoning suddenly had to accept this bitter truth.

Time is pushing!

The message is clear: The children should live! as well as the 8,500 patients who are currently on the waiting list for an organ transplant . Your hope depends crucially on the political decisions now. The Protransplant alliance urgently demands that the right to life to put the waiting for the focus and to leave the failed German special path behind.

Mario Rosa-Bian, spokesman for the alliance, sums it up: "The affected and their relatives are deeply grateful for the efforts of the Federal Council and the cross-faction across the group. Your hope is made to the possibility that Germany will finally follow the example of our neighboring countries. But they must not be disappointed again!"

an intensive responsibility!

The feedback from members of the Bundestag who refer to the health policy speakers of their faction are worrying. "We would like to remind you that this vote does not have a parliamentary group!" Explains Zazie Knepper, another spokeswoman for the Protransplant alliance. "Every personal decision has the potential to save lives or to endanger them" , Knepper continues.

She addresses an urgent appeal to all MPs: "If it were your children who are fighting for their lives in the intensive care unit, they would immediately understand how crucial their voice is for the contradiction regulation. It is time to take responsibility!"

Christiane Daum, a member of a person who was waiting for a heart transplant, adds: "One day everyone can get into the situation of being dependent on a donor organ. We as a society have to find solutions. 27 European countries have long recognized how important a prudent handling of organ donation is. We can do that too!"

A clear message! The Protransplant alliance consists of almost 30 patient associations, self -help groups and supporters who are committed to improving the organ donation laws in Germany. Your goal is to finally achieve clear progress and end the political standstill. It is time to learn from the mistakes of the past to end the suffering of those waiting.
