Pharma Germany is founding the state association in Baden-Württemberg: Innovation and competitiveness in focus

Pharma Germany founds the Baden-Württemberg State Association to promote innovation and competitiveness in the southwest. The state association was founded in Baden-Baden yesterday and was carried out by Dr. Traubott Ullrich von der Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co. KG. The state association aims to represent the interests of the pharmaceutical industry in Baden-Württemberg and to optimally use the innovative strength of the industry in the southwest.

Baden-Württemberg is the important location for the pharmaceutical industry with many innovative companies. The strong pharmaceutical clusters in the Rhein-Neckar region must be particularly highlighted. The close cooperation with renowned research institutions and universities as well as the diversity of domestic pharmaceutical companies contribute to the importance of the Baden-Württemberg pharmaceutical location. The regional association would like to further expand this healthy mixture and work for improved framework conditions in the areas of research, development and production.

Health supply in Baden-Württemberg benefits from the diverse supply and research landscape in the country. The close cooperation between the therapy facilities and the pharmaceutical industry plays a central role in the application and further development of innovative therapies and medication. The new state association will help to further optimize this networking and to promote health care in the country.

The Baden-Württemberg Minister of Social Affairs, Health and Integration, Manne Lucha, sees the foundation of the state association as an important step for the pharmaceutical industry. He is confident that the new Pharma Germany regional association can bundle the forces of the industry even more effectively and intensify the cooperation between the state government and the pharmaceutical company.

Dorothee Brakmann, general manager of Pharma Germany, emphasizes the overarching importance of the new national association. Due to the close cooperation with the local companies, the specific challenges and opportunities of the region can be addressed even better and developed together solutions. Pharma Germany also wants to be a strong voice for the topics of the industry to the state government in Stuttgart.

The newly formed board of the Baden-Württemberg state association consists of representatives of 55 companies from the pharmaceutical industry. The founding of the state association is part of a nationwide initiative in which a total of six regional associations are established under the roof of the Association of Chemical Industry (VCI). This process marks an important milestone in the organizational structure of Pharma Germany and offers the member companies numerous advantages such as more direct access to politics at state and federal level, better visibility and more networking with each other.

Pharma Deutschland e.V. is the pharmaceutical association in Germany with the highest membership and is committed to the interests of the German pharmaceutical industry. The association promotes the dialogue between politics, business and society to ensure sustainable and innovative health care. With around 400 member companies, Pharma Germany represents the interests of the industry.

The establishment of the Baden-Württemberg State Association is striving for Pharma Germany a closer networking and cooperation with the companies in the region.
