The renovation of the Spielberg in the Ernst-Thälmann Park in Prenzlauer Berg has been completed and will be officially opened on May 4, 2024. The playground was part of the park of the park from 1983 to 1986 and was getting old with some blocked areas. The renovation of the Spielberg in the Ernst-Thälmann Park in Prenzlauer Berg has been completed and will be officially opened on May 4, 2024. The playground was part of the park of the park from 1983 to 1986 and was getting old with some blocked areas. The Pankow road and green space office used the "Sustainable Urban Renewal" funding program to renovate the playground for a total of 1,213,000 euros since December 2022.
The challenge was to maintain the playing value and safety of the playground, while parts of the Ernst Thälmann Park are listed. The slide hill, the sand area and the Sprühplansche with Pergola are now renewed and offer a wide range of play opportunities for children. The barrier -free access was widened and path slings were partially renewed. An outdoor exhibition provides information about the implemented renovation measures.
The ceremonial opening of the playground on the day of urban development on May 4, 2024 contains various games and employment opportunities for children. Manuela Anders-Granitzki, district councilor for order and public space, cordially invites you to the opening and wish all visitors a lot of fun playing and romping on the redesigned playground.
