On November 23, 2024, the popular neighborhood festival "November light" is celebrated in Niederschönhausen - and for the ninth time! The enchanting place on the middle promenade of the Waldstrasse, just on the corner to Hermann-Hesse-Straße, turns into a winter wonderland that makes the hearts of visitors beat faster. District Mayor Dr. Cordelia Koch initiate the celebrations with a solemn start. And the best thing about it? Entry is completely free!

Various attractions for young and old
The visitors can look forward to a plump program! Market stalls invite you to browse and buy, while creative stands promise a lot of handicraft fun. If you like to become active, you can bake delicious stick bread on the fire bowl or design lanterns, buttons and imaginative pendants from wire with a lot of skill. And the highlight: the exciting raffle - in which each participant has the chance to win great prizes! The Kiez round introduces itself at the extra state and gives curious neighbors the opportunity to learn more about the committed citizens: inside and their projects.

But that's not all! The musical accompaniment ensures a festive atmosphere: the choir of the Stille Straße meeting place, the rousing jazz combo "Ms. Uncle & Herr Aunt" and the trendy DJ Raxxo will create the right atmosphere. The physical well-being is also masterfully taken care of-from spicy bratwurst to warming pumpkin ginger soup to tempting mulled wine and tasty children's punch.

The neighborhood round: A strong network
The Kiez round Niederschönhausen is the engine of this fantastic event. This local network of committed citizens: Interior, initiatives and associations was launched in 2012 when the district office Pankow organized a future workshop. Since then, the neighborhood round has been tirelessly committed to harmonious coexistence and numerous cultural offers in the district.
