New youth container in Blankenburg: Supervised leisure activities for young people
In the park in the Ilsenburggraben in Blankenburg, a mobile sea container will be set up on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 2 p.m. on behalf of the Pankow district office. The non-profit Outreach gGmbH- Mobile Youth Work Berlin had brought the need to create a place for young people last year.
The Pankow road and green space office has now made a place on the state-owned green area on Schäferstege 5 in 13129 Berlin free of charge. The non -profit Outreach gGmbH will offer supervised leisure activities for young people as a youth welfare institution. The container, which has a size of 6m x 3m x 3m, will be accessible to young people at any time.
The district councilor for order and public space, Manuela Anders-Granitzki, expressed her joy about the long preparation and planning time, which now flows into the realization of the youth container. She emphasizes that there are still too few places for young adults in the district and hopes that the young people of Blankenburg will take on the new meeting point. She wants a place of peaceful, intercultural and various exchange.
It is gratifying to see that public bodies and non -profit organizations work together to meet the needs of young people in the region. The provision of a safe and supervised place for leisure activities can help young people develop positively and make their free time meaningful. This new youth container could be an important contribution to promoting social cohesion and integration in the community.
It remains to be hoped that this project will be successful and that the young people from Blankenburg will use the new whereabouts active and positive.
