New walking and cycle path in Blankenburg improves traffic safety

In the district of Blankenburg, the walking and cycle path along the flow grave between Heinersdorfer Straße and Parkstraße was rebuilt and is now completed. The measure had the goal of increasing traffic safety and enabling all -year -old and unrestricted use of the path. In addition, road and line construction work took place in the connection area in Parkstrasse.

The construction work was financed from the program “Improving the Infrastructure for Radio Transport” by the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment with 800,000 euros. This investment in the infrastructure is intended to help promote cycling and improve the traffic situation as a whole.

In Blankenburg and the surrounding area, the residents and visitors will now benefit from a safer and more comfortable walking and bike path. With the completion of the project, the attractiveness of the area is also increased, which could have a positive impact on the local economy.
