New parking spaces in Weißensee released from June 3, 2024
The Schönstraße in Weißensee is expected to be reopened for private transport from June 3, 2024 in the section from Blechenstraße to the Großer Seestrasse. This measure enables road users to drive the section in both directions and use the newly produced parking space. In addition, the sidewalks on both sides are available again for pedestrians. The Schönstraße in Weißensee is expected to be opened again for private transport from June 3, 2024 in the section from Blechenstraße to the Großer Seestrasse. This measure enables road users to drive the section in both directions and use the newly produced parking space. In addition, the sidewalks on both sides are available for pedestrians again.

The next section of Schönstraße, between Paul-Oestreich-Straße and Amalienstraße, will be completely closed to private transport from June 10, 2024. Extensive management work is to be carried out in this area, followed by a basic road renovation. A detour is signposted via the Roelcke or Parkstrasse. The full closure of this section is expected to be required for one year until June 2025.
