Kiez walk through Alt-Pankow: Discover traces of Europe on site

On Saturday, June 29, 2024, the Europa-Union Berlin, in cooperation with the EU representative of the Pankow district, Svenja Arz, offers a neighborhood walk through Alt-Pankow. During this walk, interested parties should find out where Europe can be found in Berlin - be it in the park, at the town hall or in an old bakery. Local residents will report on their own experiences and local projects at various stations. District Mayor Dr. Cordelia Koch will be present.

The walk begins at 3 p.m. at the Amalienpark, near the Stiftsweg stop (Tram M50 towards Guyotenstraße) and lasts about two and a half hours. It ends in the Sprachcafé Polish in Schulzestrasse, which is also involved in the event as a cooperation partner. There, the participants are given the opportunity to get to know the offers of the language café and to receive a free drink. Participation in the neighborhood walk is free of charge, but a registration is requested to register under [contact address of the Europa-Union Berlin].

The Europa-Union Berlin is a civil society organization that is composed of people who volunteer for Europe. In a project group, the neighborhood walks are developed, organized and implemented to show people on site where there are traces of Europe in their immediate surroundings. Media representatives are cordially invited to point out the event in advance, to participate and/or to report on it. For more information and interview inquiries, Alessandro Hammmerstaedt and Anne Roewer from the AG Kommunikation of the Europa-Union Berlin are available at press@europa-union-berlin.de.
