Discover the villages of the north - guided bike tours in Pankow and Reinickendorf

on the weekend 20./21. April 2024 there are two guided bike tours through the Reinickendorf and Pankow districts, to which interested parties are cordially invited. The free tours are professionally accompanied by "Berlin on Bike" and lead the participants in search of traces by the "villages of the north" by Pankow and Reinickendorf for about 3.5 hours.

These events are part of a City-Tax Community project between the two districts, which is coordinated by the TIC Kultur- & Tourismusmarketing Berlin-Pankow. As part of the project, individually tangible routes were developed by the historical buildings, farms, architecture and village nuclei of the two districts. This created exciting themed tours that lead across the district borders and offer insights into the cultural and historical diversity of the region.

The first tour takes place on Saturday, April 20, 2024 and starts at 2 p.m. at the Pankow S- and U-Bahnhof. The route leads from Pankow via Reinickendorf to Wittenau, Märkisches Viertel and Rosenthal.

The second tour starts on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the French-Buchholz district in front of the church (Tram 50). The route leads from French Buchholz via Blankenfelde, Lübars, Hermsdorf to Lake Tegel with refreshments on the Greenwich promenade.

Interested participants must register informally by email to sandra.vogt@tic-berlin.de. The district mayor of Pankow, Dr. Cordelia Koch emphasizes the importance of tours as an opportunity to get to know the life of the people in the settlements of the north of Berlin over the centuries.
