35 years of news: Rocking PR since 1989

The renowned communication service provider News Aktuell is celebrating her 35th anniversary this year. Since its foundation on August 3, 1989 in Hamburg, the company has continued its success and has developed into an international player. With over 135 committed employees at several locations in Germany and Switzerland, News currently offers a wide portfolio of products and services for the communication industry.

An important aspect for News Aktuell is human quality control as well as individual service and support for your customers. As part of the dpa group, the company has earned a reputation as a reliable and innovative partner for communication professionals from companies, organizations and agencies in recent decades. ROCKING PR Since 1989: from fax to the Internet age, News Aktuell remains on the pulse of the times. The company started sending press information by fax and was taken over by the dpa in 1994. In the following years, News currently introduced pioneering digital distribution services such as ots and OBS and built up the renowned presseportal.de. In the new millennium, the company expanded with the opening of offices at several German locations and the establishment of the News (Switzerland) AG.

The portfolio of News Aktuell not only includes the spread of PR content, but also native advertising in quality media, media observation through ARGUS, individual support in content production and practical knowledge by the News Aktademy. With over 12.2 million calls per month, news portal from News Aktuell is one of the most range of PR portals in Germany. In addition to its digital offer, News currently offers its customers access to an extensive network of news agencies, the media and journalists in more than 170 countries.

After the founder Carl-Eduard Meyer was left out, Edith Stier-Thompson and Frank Stadthoewer took over the management of News Aktuell. Since December 2023, the company has been under new leadership, led by Petra Busch and Vithunan Lingeswaran.
