True love never hurt: Exhibition against partnership violence in Neukölln
The alarm falls! Every day, 13 women in Germany experience the shocking truth: domestic violence. On November 4, 2024 at 4 p.m., the Rathaus Neukölln will take place! Together with the courageous equal opportunities officer Sylvia Edler and the Stop district project without partner violence, a sign is set that cannot be ignored.
There are terrifying numbers: Almost every day, a woman stands in front of the abyss when her partner or ex -partner tries to kill her. And the cruel reality is that quite a few of the women are not looking for help for fear. This event aims to sensitize the public to this pressing problem. The artist and violent tournament Joanna Szproch launched this haunting photo project, supported by neighbor: inside from the Körnerkiez to give the victims a voice. To implement this, an impressive project was launched that makes the message clear: violence and love do not go together!
The exhibition: 'True love never hurts!'
The exhibition runs from 5. November to November 26, 2024 - and the best: entry is free! You can expect us in the foyer of the town hall Neukölln on the 2nd floor, Karl-Marx-Straße 83, 12043 Berlin. Visitors can visit the special project from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and devote themselves to the shaking photographs that tell stories of courage, pain and survival.
This initiative is realized in cooperation with the network women in Neukölln , supported by the federal program "Live democracy!" and funded by "partnership and democracy Neukölln". This is not just an exhibition - this is a call to change! Take part in order to give voice all wrong.
