Oderstraße 174, 12049 Berlin, Deutschland - On May 24, 2025, the Queerz Club Youth Festival will take place from 2 to 9 p.m. on the site of the children's world at the field in Oderstrasse 174, 12049 Berlin. This event, which is aimed at young queer people, is designed as a summer open-air event and offers a wide range of activities and program items.
The Queerz Festival, founded in 2019, enables participants to network with various queer youth projects. These include the Q*UBE Neukölln, Profamilia and the specialist office for addiction prevention. A special highlight will be the "Fuckmobil", a sex education bus that is provided by the Chick's performance. Workshops on topics such as self-defense, photography and make-up complete the offer.
diverse program and special guests
The event will be opened by the district councilor for youth, Sarah Nagel. The event is moderated by the drag Queens Amy Strong and Ellie Caballé. The show acts include the talented Lady Dina and Agnes Mitchell, which will provide a colorful and rousing atmosphere. The conclusion is a karaoke session that invites the participants to become active themselves.
Admission to the Queerz Festival is free. From 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. the workshops take place, which offer a great opportunity to learn new skills and meet like -minded people. The event is carried out in cooperation with various partners, including the Neukölln youth welfare office, the LSVD Association Queere Diversity Berlin-Brandenburg and the Berlin Action Alliance for Violence.
support for queer adolescents
This festival also appears in response to the challenges that queer youth experienced during the pandemic when many shelters were closed. According to the lesbian and gay association (LSVD) Berlin-Brandenburg, which organizes the event in collaboration with Schwuz, Queerz stands for the support of young Queer people aged 14 to 21. There is a variety of activities that promote spontaneous participation without prior registration.
The market of possibilities will offer the participants a platform to find out more about various offers and initiatives, while free food and drinks create an inviting atmosphere. Cocktails without alcohol are also on the program.
