In autumn 2024, a trend -setting initiative will be launched in Neukölln: the platform "Zero Müll Neukölln". This new initiative offers an innovative way of avoiding waste and will replace the “beautiful like us” campaign in this form, which was primarily concerned with waste disposal. The district office has set an ambitious goals with this project, because the best waste is the one that does not arise at all.

District Mayor Martin Hikel emphasizes the importance of joint efforts: "Zero garbage still sounds like utopia today. But that will only be feasible together."
