Neuköllner Art Prize 2024: Award winner: announced inside
This year's Neuköllner Art Prize has seven talented artists: Awarded inside who previously prevailed over 130 applicants: inside. In a ceremony in the home port of Neukölln, they received the coveted prizes. Ceren Saner was honored with first place and 3,000 euros for her "Inside the Ring" series, followed by Sophia Uckmann with second place and 2,000 euros for her installation "Flachbody study II" and Johanna Brummack with third place and 1,000 euros for your installation "Obscare". The work of all nominated, including Veneta Androva, Christian Diaz Orejarena, Marta Djourina, and Constanze Vogt, will be presented in a group exhibition in the gallery in the hall building until May 12, 2024.
The jury praised Ceren Saners photographs for their complexity and its ability to combine different realities and generations in an impressive way. Sophia Uckmann's installation impressed with their experimental use of organic materials and the area of tension between man and nature. Johanna Brummack's walk -in installation creates a powerful connection between visual security and an oppressive reality, which the viewers stimulates: inside for thought.
In addition to the main prices, the city and country Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH will buy a work by the artist Constanze Vogt and exhibit at its group headquarters. The jury consisted, among other things, from the management of the municipal galleries Neukölln and other Kunstexpert: inside.
The Neuköllner Kunst Prize 2024 is a cooperation between the Department of Culture and the Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln e.V., supported by the city and state residential building company mbH. The exhibition, which opened on February 17, runs until May 12, 2024 and offers those interested in art the opportunity to discover and experience the diverse works of the excellent artists: to discover and experience inside.
