Half a century of child and youth work: birthday party on the Wildwerweg
The children's and youth club & adventure playground Wildwerweg celebrates its 50th anniversary on June 14, 2024. The celebration will be opened at 3 p.m. by district mayor Martin Hikel and youth councilor Sarah Nagel together with facility manager Jeremy Brückner. The adventure playground was built in 1974 on the initiative of young people and parents and was taken over by the Neukölln district office in the 1990s. Since then, the playground has developed into a popular meeting place for children and adolescents, with various play and sports facilities such as table tennis, basketball, football, beach volleyball, kicker and climbing.
The area, which is approx. 8,800 m² in size, also offers space for neighborhood meetings and joint activities such as campfire evenings or cinema afternoons. The birthday of the children's and youth club is celebrated with a varied program, including games, a raffle, a bouncy castle, the design of a time capsule and much more. The celebrations take place at Wildwerweg 1 in Berlin.
