New school building in Pankstrasse: Berlin educational offensive is now starting!

Pankstraße 70, 10178 Berlin, Deutschland - On May 28, 2025, an important step was announced in the school building offensive in Berlin. The district councilor for school and sport, Benjamin Fritz, announced the signing of a project agreement for the new school building at Pankstrasse 70. This project is realized as part of the extensive Berlin school building offensive (BSO) and represents an important contribution to improving the educational infrastructure in the Mitte district.

The agreement not only regulates responsibilities, but also forms the basis for the rental and heritage law contracts. The construction work is planned for the school years 2026/2027 to 2031/2032. Berlin school building offensive and their cradle

The Berlin school building offensive was launched in 2018 by a non -open realization competition for architects, followed by a negotiation procedure (VGV). A remarkable step in this extensive program is the modular type planning, which increases the efficiency in the implementation of primary schools and sports halls. The Bruno Fioretti Marquez GmbH office from Berlin was the winner of the competition and has developed a concept that optimally uses the room and creates an urban development ensemble.

This modular planning ensures that the buildings only have to be designed completely once, which facilitates adjustments to specific location conditions.
