New bike road in Mitte - more security and space for cyclists!

Along the Schwedter Straße in Berlin, a new bicycle road will be created, which should provide more safety and comfort for cyclists. The initiative was launched by the district councilor Christopher Schriner and is intended to promote cycling in the area.

The bicycle road stretches between Oderberger Straße and Choriner Straße and is marked by corresponding signage and markings on the road. The intersections in particular are redesigned to increase safety for pedestrians and to improve visibility. In addition, special areas for delivery traffic and getting on and out are set up.

The new bicycle road along Schwedter Straße is part of the bicycle traffic network and offers an attractive route away from the main traffic. The measure is funded by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport as part of the special program "Stadt und Land".
