Germany remains a magnet for travelers from all over the world and tourism is blooming! But to ensure that our travel destinations meet modern requirements and remain sustainable, the German Tourism Award sets new standards. This year, innovative projects will be awarded that help to master the challenges of Germany tourism and at the same time to take into account environmental and social issues. An exciting race for the best ideas is in full swing!

of 64 creative suggestions have made ten brave projects into the decisive online pitch round. Here the spectators can have a say in those who get a chance of the prestigious ADAC audience award! A specialist jury has also chosen four other finalists who are now fighting for the coveted awards. From now on until November 13th everyone can submit their voice at www.deutschertourismuspreis.de. The big moment: On November 26th, the winners will be announced during the German Tourism Day in Hamburg!

The outstanding nominees!

  • Deutschlandmuseum, Berlin: A place that appeals to young people! It makes history tangible with sound, smells and much more - a festival for the senses!
  • Climate box-the hottest topic of the city: With an innovative project in Hameln, the topic of heat is made visible! Here everyone can learn how to act in a climate.
  • eco instead of ego - Share with the Wall of Change knowledge: In the Hotel Luise in Erlangen, a collection of 250 sustainable measures is presented, which serve as role models for a greener hotel industry.
  • It's fine-the first digital monitoring system: Oberstdorf goes with a digital system for quality development New Ways in alpine tourism. The network of data points for guest satisfaction becomes denser!
  • vacation. Without your own car. SMILE24: In the Schleswig-Holstein area, an emission-free mobility concept was developed: from bikesharing to shuttle services-car-free travel made easy!
