Reopening of the dental service of the health department in Berlin-Mitte

The District Office Berlin-Mitte opens the dental service (Zäd) again for the public after successful renovation and renovation measures. On February 2nd at 10 a.m., interested parties are invited to visit the new premises at Turmstrasse 21, Haus M on the ground floor. The dental service offers significant measures for health promotion and prevention of tooth damage and jaw misalignment in children and adolescents. The offer is based on preventive examinations, group prophylaxis and child protection measures. The reopening is an important stage in the anchoring of the health department in the health and social center in Moabit (GSZM), formerly Moabiter Hospital.

District City Councilor Christoph Keller emphasizes the importance of access to preventive and curative offers for all children and adolescents, regardless of their social origin. He remembers the visits of the dental service in his own school days and emphasizes the importance of early education about dental and oral hygiene, especially for families who have difficult access to doctors.

District City Councilor Ephraim Gothe is pleased about the completion of the premises for the dental service and emphasizes the importance of this measure for the anchoring of the health department in the GSZM. After the health department had to give up its parent company in the middle of winter 2018/2019 due to a mold, with the help of Berliner Immobilien Management GmbH (BIM) a partial settlement of the health department in the GSZM could be realized.
