Bring light together with donations: Christmas magic for Unter den Linden

The festive atmosphere on the boulevard "Unter den Linden" is on the brink! Radiant lights and sparkling decorations are more than just a nice sight: they are the heart of the Christmas season and at this point district mayor Stefanie Remlinger calls up for support!

Together with the two CEO of the Mitte e.V., Annett Greiner-Bäuerle and Frank Henkel, Remlinger has called for people in Berlin to participate in the preservation and financing of glamorous Christmas lights. "Light is the central symbol of the Christmas season," she emphasizes. "In this dark season we donate warmth and security with bright lights." And we need that more than ever - not only for the soul, but also to attract guests and Berliners to the city.

A call to participate

All Berliners are invited to ensure that the boulevard and parts of Friedrichstrasse shine in a festive splendor. Unfortunately, the previous funding from the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies has been eliminated this year - this means: Now every euro counts! "We are aware that times are challenging, but Christmas lights have the potential to bring people together and spread a positive mood," adds Remlinger.

Potential donors should report until November 16 to make a contribution. The contact person for further information is Beate Brüning, the head of the economic promotion of the district. It can be reached under the telephone numbers (030) 9018 34372 or 0172 3710204 and by email to businessfoerderung@ba-mitte.berlin.de.

"We would like to thank you for your enormous support, which would enable us to maintain this wonderful tradition in downtown Berlin!"
