KIA program: Mitte district awards grants for theater offers
The district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, informs about the awarding of project funding as part of the KIA program of the Senate Department for Culture and Social Coam factor in Berlin. These funding is specifically intended for establishing and carrying out theater offers in the field of performing arts for children and adolescents. The goal is to improve the supply of theater offers in districts that have not yet been or underrusted and to strengthen existing decentralized structures in the entire urban area.
A total of six projects were selected for 2024, based on recommendations from a specialist jury. These are two projects for the venue for venue and four projects for promoting projects in previously neglected districts. The jury consisted of representatives of the art, culture and history department, people with artistic expertise in the field of children's and youth theater as well as young people up to 25 years.
The KIA program aims to promote children's, youth and puppet theater as well as actors in the field of performing arts for a young audience and is advertised annually. The maximum funding amount was 10,000 euros per project.
