Bicycle fun in Moabit: Moabiter weeks of mobility for children and adolescents!
The Moabiter weeks of mobility offer children, students and young people the opportunity to experience sustainable mobility in Moabit by September 20, 2024. Christopher Schriner, district councilor for order, environment, nature, streets and green spaces, informed about the program, which includes numerous actions to promote the joy of cycling and to improve traffic safety.
A special highlight is a mobile pump track, a circuit with hills that offers bicycle pleasure for both large and small. There is also a mini course for 3 to 6 year olds to experience speeds, to train the balance and test the reaction capacity. The whole thing takes place in a safe environment with experienced supervisors, and bicycles, roller boards, wheels, scooters and helmets are provided on site.
The mobility weeks are supported by various organizations such as the BegSpo-Berlin Society for Health through Sport, the Kurt Tucholsky primary school, the Otto playground, the "Quartier Moabit-Ost active against climate change", the scientific and cultural educational association Moabit and the Moabit and the police.
If you want to learn more about the program and the support partners, you will find an overview on the website. Registrations of daycare centers and schools are made via Thomas Büttner, coordinator of the Moabit Education Association. Email: buettner@probungsatung.org / Tel: 0163-7321462.
