The district mayor Stefanie Remlinger informs that the cross-divisional jury for the award of the district culture fund met on February 20th and 21st, 2024 and made recommendations for a total of 10 projects. The jury consisted of members from various art areas such as performing arts, visual arts, urban art, music and literature.
The Mitte District Culture Fund is awarded once a year and supports projects in various areas such as music, literature, performing arts, visual arts, architecture, urbanism, art in urban space and contemporary history. The possible funding amount is a maximum of 10,000.00 euros.
In 2024, 191 applications were submitted for funding from the district culture fund. The jury recommends 10 projects to the Senate Department for Culture and Europe for funding with a total funding amount of 81,606.90 euros.
The selection of funded projects reflects the diversity and quality of the cultural scene in Mitte. Artists and cultural workers therefore have the opportunity to implement their projects and further enrich the cultural diversity of the district.
