Maximilian Krah: The controversial top candidate of the AfD for the European elections 2024

Maximilian Krah, a Saxon lawyer and Member of the Member of the Member, was elected top candidate for the European elections 2024 at the AfD party congress in Magdeburg. With an approval of 65.7 percent, he received significant support from the party. Krah is now planning to go to the exam with his team of candidates to solve the intra -party conflicts and lead a successful election campaign.

Maximilian Krah was born in Lausitz in 1977 and was involved in the CDU and the Junge Union early. After defending the men as a lawyer who had tied up an Iraqi refugee in 2016, he left the CDU and joined the AfD. In doing so, he also got into the visor of the protection of the constitution because he used the term "reversal" and agitated against migrants.

since 2019 Maximilian Krah has been working in the European Parliament and was noticed there through its divergent positions within the "Identity and Democracy" faction. For example, he supported Éric Zemmour, an even more extremist competitor of Marine Le Pen, instead of supporting them in the French presidential election 2022. As a result, he was suspended by the faction. Krah was also released due to alleged manipulation when awarding a PR order and described this as a "dirt campaign" against him.

Maximilian Krah skillfully manages to present himself in the media. He changes between charming retroconservatism and hard extremism rhetoric, so that nobody knows exactly what he really means. His placement in the middle of the party-internal discussion about the EU resolution or a dismantling to the EEC enables him to address a wide range of opinions. Ultimately, his top candidate was also supported by Björn Höcke, the Thuringian head of the AfD.

Krah is also a regular guest at the right -wing extremist Institute for State Policy in Schnellroda and has also published a book there that propagates right -wing extremism in bourgeois robe. Nevertheless, despite the criticism of his person, he remains confident and lets the allegations against him.

In his application speech, Maximilian Krah already showed self -confidence and emphasized that the AfD did not have to adapt to be successful. On the contrary, he described his party as the most exciting right -wing party across Europe. At the same time, he demanded that the critics within the party must finally be shown the red card.

Despite the allegations and criticism, Maximilian Krah does not believe that new suspicions will appear against him in the election campaign. He considers these allegations to be completely ridiculous. His broad grin shows that he seems to be sure of his popularity and support.
