Stumbling blocks against anti-Semitism: Joint action of the Evangelical parish of Berlin-Hellersdorf

On November 9, 2023, an event will take place in Berlin-Hellersdorf, in which people can set an example against anti-Semitism. The Evangelical parish of Berlin-Hellersdorf invites you to go to stumbling blocks in the region together and to put down a rose there to commemorate the Jewish people who fell victim to the atrocities of the National Socialists. The meeting point for the event is at 3:00 p.m. in front of the Mahlsdorf S-Bahn station.

November 9, 1938 was one of the darkest days in German history and is the 85th time this year. The Reichspogromnacht took place on this day, in which Jewish shops and synagogues of Nazis and their supporters were destroyed. The memory of this day is important to ensure that such atrocities do not repeat.

The Evangelical parish of Berlin-Hellersdorf is actively committed to anti-Semitism and wants to raise awareness of the history of the Jewish people with the event to stumbling blocks. The participants have the opportunity to learn more about the individual fates and families and thus make a personal relationship with the victims.
