New modular supplementary construction made of wood strengthens educational opportunities in Marzahn-Hellersdorf

The primary school on Schleipfuhl in Marzahn-Hellersdorf opened its doors for a new modular supplementary building made of wood on September 16, 2024. This welcome expansion is part of the comprehensive Berlin school building offensive, which aims to modernize and expand the educational infrastructure in the capital.

Due to the continuously increasing number of students in the region, it had become necessary to create additional premises. The freshly initiated wood-MEB not only offers space for additional classrooms, but should also serve as a multiple room for various school activities. Such modular supplementary buildings are known for their environmentally friendly construction, which puts a sustainable use of resources in the foreground.

The opening was initiated by the school management, Hendrik Zeidler, followed by an official speech by the educational senator Katharina Günther-Wünsch. District politicians such as district mayor Nadja Zivkovic and Stefan Bley, district councilor for school, also wore the honorable inspection of the event.
